Our two day Sustainable Wedding Floristry Masterclass returns on 24th - 25th September 2024 in collaboration with Liz Inigo-Jones of Blue Sky Flowers.

Designed for people with some professional floristry experience, our immersive course will take your knowledge and practical experience of the design and business of sustainable wedding floristry to new heights, building your confidence to take on more demanding and complex work.

The Masterclass will start with hands-on wedding bouquet design before delving deep into the logistics, costings and sustainable floral mechanics of large-scale installations for weddings and events.

Working as a team, we will create a fully dressed large-scale installation for our professional photographer to capture images for your portfolio before we break it down and pack it all away together.

The cost of the Masterclass includes a delicious lunch and refreshments on both days.

We will have a photographer on hand, and you will also receive digital hi-res photographs of your finished designs and of you at work.

You will be provided with course paperwork of the material we cover on the course.
Please note: If you are a beginner, we suggest you complete a one-to-one day of Tailored Floristry Tuition first so that you won't be left behind.

How to secure your place: To guarantee your place on the Masterclass, you can opt to pay the cost in full at the outset or to pay a 50% deposit now with the remaining balance to be paid 4 weeks ahead of the start date. Choose from the options in the drop-down payment options menu above.

The Details

Day One

10am - 4:30pm

A.M. The morning will begin with demonstrations by Sarah Diligent and Liz Inigo-Jones showing how to create beautiful wedding bouquets both freehand and using armatures. You’ll choose from beautiful British late summer blooms and create your own abundant bouquets with our guidance.
You will choose from a selection of beautifully hand dyed silk ribbons to finish your bouquet with, so that it’s fully dressed and ready to be professionally photographed for your portfolio.

P.M. Sarah and Liz will talk you through the logistics and costings of creating large scale installations for weddings and events. You will be given course materials outlining the way we create stem counts and recipes together with guidelines on industry standards for pricing.

Day Two

10am - 4:30pm

A.M. Sarah and Liz will start the morning talking about the sustainable floral structures themselves, discussing chuppahs, mandaps and arches. They will then talk you through suitable materials, costings, fixing points, labour, timeframes, what must-have items go into our kit bags, transportation, safety and insurance.
Sarah and Liz will demonstrate how to set up on site and talk you through the process.

P.M. You will work together with Sarah and Liz to create a fully dressed large scale installation. Our photographer will capture you at work and your finished work, so that you can show that you are comfortable and confident creating large, flowerful, wildly abundant wedding installations.

The final practical element is taking everything down together and packing up. Knowing how the logistics of taking down large structures works is important, and by doing this together you’ll feel comfortable and confident when it comes to doing this next time.
At the end of our two-day masterclass, we'll have a Q&A to resolve any final questions you may have.
