About Us
10 years of Floribunda Rose
This year we are celebrating the tenth anniversary of Floribunda Rose, our internationally acclaimed floral design studio, flower school and design studio in Hampshire, UK. Over the past ten years, we have had the privilege of designing flowers for hundreds of wonderful weddings and events in our signature natural, abundant style alongside teaching sustainable floral techniques in our Flower School to hundreds of aspiring and established florists, and those who love flowers.
The Book
In 2019 our passion for environmental responsibility inspired us to write the definitive book on the principles of sustainable floral design that underpin our work. Affectionately known by readers as ‘the florist’s bible’, A Guide to Floral Mechanics has sold thousands of copies worldwide. We self-published with the generous support of industry colleagues around the world with the sole purpose of helping florists and flower arrangers move away from the ubiquitous but non-biodegradable plastic floral foam.
British flowers
Central to our ethos lies our decision to only use British-grown flowers and foliage whatever the time of year. We've built relationships with a hand-picked selection of flower growers over the last ten years, and each year we walk the land to discover what this new year might bring. Being governed by the seasons means that we work sustainably and responsibly and gives us a palette of characterful, often fragrant blooms and unexpected, natural elements that set our work apart.
The Design Studio
Drawing on our combined floristry expertise and William’s background as a product designer, we produce innovative tools and resources to make life better and easier for our friends and colleagues in the industry.
The Design Studio launched with the publication of the book, “A Guide to Floral Mechanics”. Our most recent product - ‘The British Cut Flower Calendar’ - is the result of two years of research and development. The Calendar makes it possible to plan colour palettes for events at a glance by organising flowers first by colour and then by flowering month.
We’re excited to see where the next ten years takes us!
With love,
Sarah Diligent and William Mazuch
